Montclair, CA

Montclair is a small city located in California’s beautiful Pomona Valley. The city lies in the boundaries of western San Bernardino County. It is bordered by the cities of Claremont, Pomona, Chino and Ontario.

History

Like other areas in the region, Montclair has a historically rich past. The first known settlers to the area was the Serrano Indian Tribe. They built their village along the creek that ran through the center of town.

The area really began to grow in the late 1960’s; due to a retail boom, along with its close proximity to the Claremont Colleges and other small campuses.
